![]() ![]() ![]() When he arrives, anxious and slightly disheveled, his nerdy attractiveness catches Gavin’s attention. Noah heard about the position through a close friend who works with Gavin’s PR agent, though he knew little about the person he’d be working for before he applied for the job. They’ve yet to find anyone he’s willing to hire, but after reviewing the available candidates a second time, they invite Noah Monroe to come in for an interview. Facing a six-month league suspension and house arrest after he was caught on video brawling (for reasons he’s never revealed), his agent, Joe, convinces him to hire a live-in personal assistant while Gavin serves out his sentence. Or the interlude in the boys' school, though something about the art in that particular episode just didn't work for me. Or Morpheus and Lyta's argument when he visits (and names) Daniel. For instance, right after the description of all of the Endless, there's that incredibly awkward family dinner, which leads to Morpheus going to Hell to rescue Nada. It's interesting for a story arc that dealt with so much cosmic stuff, it also has some of the best human feeling moments. A Season of Mists, to me, was the point that Sandman stopped feeling episodic and started to feel like a bigger story was being told. ![]() ![]() ![]() One of the most significant turning points in the Civil War and arguably the most pivotal in the western theater of action, I guess it deserves the lavish attention which has been devoted to it by generations of scholars. ![]() As it turns out, I had even more than I thought-the campaign has been the focus of more than its fair share of books, guides, and detailed studies over the years. ![]() Recently, while preparing to teach a multi-part continuing education class on the Civil War’s Western Theater, I had an occasion to review several books I had on the shelf chronicling the Vicksburg Campaign. ![]() ![]() ![]() It has also been seen in other types of animals, from snakes to invertebrates.
